CloneID: PR 5C5
Antigen Long Description: This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with mucosal scrapings and cell membrane preparations from normal human large intestine.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Specificity Statement: This antibody recognises human Lewis A antigen, and cross-reacts weakly with Galα1-4Gal and rhamnose.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody recognises human Lewis A antigen, and has been employed in the immunohistochemical diagnosis of colon disorders, including bowel, small intestine, stomach and colorectal cancers. It has been used in indirect immunoperoxidase staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded samples of normal colorectal epithelial cells and colon carcinomas (Richman & Bodmer, 1987). It has also been used in indirect immunofluorescence examination of frozen sections of colorectal tissue (Richman & Bodmer, 1987). Its specificity has been confirmed in ELISA analysis (Manimala et al, 2007).
