Antigen Long Description: This antibody was raised by immunising mice with testosterone-3-(O-carboxymethyl) oxime conjugated to bovine serum albumin.

Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric rat antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.

Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for testosterone, and cross-reacts with dihydrotestosterone.

Application Notes (Clone): This antibody is routinely used to measure serum and tissue testosterone levels. Wang et al (2015), for example, used this antibody in a radioimmunoassay to quantify serum testosterone in rats.
