CloneID: BU69
Antigen Long Description: Murine antibodies were produced by immunising BALB/c mice using the Waldenstrom's macroglobulinaemia cell line WM-1. Hybridomas were generated by fusion of immunised cells with the myeloma cell line P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1 via established methods.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Uniprot Accession No.: P32970
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds human CD70, which is the CD27 ligand. This protein is present only on activated dendritic cells and T lymphocytes, and represents a therapeutic target of relevance for autoimmune diseases.
Application Notes (Clone): BU69 has been used for FACS and immunocytochemistry analysis of the cell-surface expression levels of CD70 in renal cell carcinomas (Adam et al, 2006). It was shown in this study that cell-surface binding of BU69 to CD70 caused rapid internalisation of the cell-surface glycoprotein.
