Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for N(6)-methyladenosine, a modified base found frequently in the mRNA of all higher eukaryotes and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It recognises N(6)-methyladenosine 6A in single-stranded nucleic acids, including both DNA and RNA.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody has been used in immunoprecipitation experiments to identify the presence of N(6)-methyladenosine within mRNA transcripts bound to oligo(dT) magnetic beads (Bodi et al, 2010). It has been characterised using immunoblot analysis (Bodi et al, 2010).
