Third generation lentiviral-based vectors are commonly used to transfer genetic information to cells for gene therapy and/or research purposes. The IncuCyte® lentiviral-based reagents have been specially designed to efficiently transduce multiple cell types and provide homogenous expression of fluorescent protein across a population of primary or immortalized, dividing or non-dividing cells with low toxicity. Expression of Red Fluorescent Protein (RFP) is cytoplasmic.
