CloneID: NISTmab (RM 8671)
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody is a recombinant version of NISTmAb, a humanized IgG1k reference material 8671 (RM 8671) from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. It is a widely characterized monoclonal antibody, intended for use in evaluating the performance of methods for determining physicochemical and biophysical attributes of monoclonal antibodies. This antibody acts as a representative test molecule for development of novel technology for therapeutic protein characterization. It is intended for a variety of uses that may include system suitability tests, establishing method or instrument performance and variability, comparing changing analytical test methods, and assisting in method qualification (Reference Material 8671 information sheet). This antibody can be used as a standard for the benchmarking of top-down mass spectrometry for analysis of intact proteins (PMID: 31249407). It was also used as a standard for de novo sequencing algorithm on bottom-up mass spectrometry (PMID: 28105549). It was also used as a standard for calibration of a technique for estimating the monomeric purity and antigen affinity of research grade antibody samples (PMID: 31375854).
