Product Description: Saccharic acid is a competitive inhibitor of β-glucuronidase. Saccharic acid considerably retards hydrolysis of the glucuronide of 'l-ortho-hydroxyphenylazo-2-naph-thol' by frozen mouse kidney sections, but has no effect on liver regeneration following damage and on growth in infant mice[1][2].
