Background: Phosphoinositide 3-kinase regulatory subunit 5 (PIK3R5, also PI3-kinase p101 subunit, Ptdlns-3-kinase p101, and p101-PI3K) is a 97 kDa regulatory subunit of the PI3K gamma complex. It is expressed as a heterodimer with the catalytic subunit PIK3CG/p120. Human PIK3R5 is 880 amino acids (aa) in length. The heterodimerization region is made up of aa 25-101, and aa 653-753 comprise the region for interaction with G beta gamma proteins. A second 55 kDa isoform is formed by the deletion of aa 1-386.
Bio Acitivity: Not validated for activity
Sequence: Met 1-Pro 494
Purity: > 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Normally 5%-8% trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.
Reconstitution: It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis.
Endotoxin: < 10 EU/mg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Calculated MW: 54.2 kDa
Observed MW: 58 kDa
