CloneID: D10
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing Lama glama with amoxicillin conjugated with human serum albumin. The peripheral blood lymphocytes of the llama were used to generate a VHH library and the specific antibody was selected by panning the library against amoxicillin-KLH conjugate.
Origin Pub PMID: 34931798
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This is a chimeric antibody, developed from the original camelid VHH antibody, specifically engineered for enhanced compatibility with existing reagents, assays, and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Specificity Statement: This antibody shows reactivity with amoxicillin, which is a penicillin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, bronchitis, sinusitis, pneumonia, and infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, or urinary tract. This antibody also cross reacts with aztreonam, meropenem and penicillin G. This antibody does not bind ceftriaxone.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding reactivity of this antibody for ampicillin, aztreonam, meropenem and penicillin G and ceftriaxone was determined using ELISA (PMID: 34931798).
