CloneID: Nano-25
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing a single alpaca with the GII.10 virus-like particle protein.
Origin Pub PMID: 25520510
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Chimeric Use Statement: This is a chimeric antibody, developed from the original camelid VHH antibody, specifically engineered for enhanced compatibility with existing reagents, assays, and techniques.
Uniprot Accession No.: Q5F4T5
Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for the GII.10 group of the protruding (P) domain of the Norwalk virus capsid protein VP1. The P1 subdomain binding site is occluded on intact particles, yet this antibody binds intact norovirus VLPs and virions.
Application Notes (Clone): The reactivity of the original antibody (alpaca VHH) against norovirus VLPs and P domains was determined using ELISA. Using isothermal titration calorimetry, a Kd of 28 nM was measured between the antibody and the GII.10 P domain. The crystal structure of this antibody in complex with norovirus GII.10 P domain was determined (Koromyslova & Hansman, 2015; PMID: 25520510). The epitope of this antibody was further characterized in X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM (Koromyslova & Hansman, 2017; PMID: 29095961).
