CloneID: SKII.4
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with SK-N-S1 human neuroblastoma cells.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Uniprot Accession No.: P15151
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds an epitope in the extracellular region human CD155 also called the poliovirus receptor (PVR). This protein mediates NK cell adhesion and triggers NK cell function. It also binds two NK cell receptors CD96 and CD226. CD155 is gaining more interest as a therapeutic target in the field of tumor immunology due to its prominent endogenous and immune functions.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody was used in staining of Daudi-PVR cells and the visualization of its interaction between NK92 using confocal microscopy (PMID: 15034010). This antibody was used in the immunohistochemical staining of cryostat sections of frozen specimens of human lymph nodes and spleen tissues. This antibody was also capable on blocking the interaction between soluble form of PVR (PVR-hFc) and WUCAM/Baf3 cells (PMID: 19197944). The biotinylated antibody can be used for the detection of soluble PVR-hFc in an ELISA (PMID: 20201043). The upregulation of PVR (CD155) in Jurkat cells, when transduced with WPI or HIV-1 NL4-3 strain (VprWT) lentivirus was studied using flow cytometry (PMID: 24045107). This antibody was used for identification of surface expression of DNAM1 ligands on MM cell lines by immunofluorescence staining. This antibody was also used of the immunoprecipitation of CD155 from ARK cell lysates (PMID: 28874810).
