Chimeric Use Statement: This reformatted mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2a format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.

Specificity Statement: This antibody binds rat CD44 at an epitope overlapping with asparagine residue 67. The murine homologue of CD44 has a histidine in this position which is sufficient to abrogate binding (Zheng et al. 1995).

Application Notes (Clone): This antibody antibody recoginses rat CD44.
