Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with recombinant human CD47-mFc fusion protein.

Specificity Statement: This antibody binds the extracellular domain of the human CD47 and cross reacts with cynomolgus monkey CD47. CD47 is broadly distributed on normal adult tissues, as well as ovarian tumors, and is especially abundant in some epithelia and the brain. IAP or integrin associated protein has a role in both cell adhesion by acting as an adhesion receptor for THBS1 on platelets, and in the modulation of integrins. It further plays an important role in memory formation and synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus. It also acts as a receptor for SIRPA. Binding to SIRPA prevents maturation of immature dendritic cells and inhibits cytokine production by mature dendritic cells.

Application Notes (Clone): The binding characterization of this antibody to recombinant human Cd47-mFc fusion protein was done using ELISA. This antibody could also bind human and cynomolgus monkey CD47 expressed on the surface of cells in a flow cytometric assay. This antibody was also reported to block the binding between SIRPα-hFc protein and human CD47 expressed on the cell surface (CN110724672).
