Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with basidiospore proteins.

Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.

Specificity Statement: The antibody recognizes antigens of basidiospores of the fungus Cronartium ribicola.

Application Notes (Clone): The affinity of this antibody was identified by ELISA. The specificity of the antibody was ascertained by examining its reactivity in a western immunoblot with the foliar proteins of western white pine (Pinus monticola) and 2 other fungi that commonly infect western white pine foliage. The antibody reacted only to basidiospore proteins. Furthermore, the antibody reacted to proteins extracted from pure fungal cultures and also from infected white pine needles.
