Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was raised from Human lymphoblastoid cell lines producing antibodies recognizing recombinant CMV gp58. The cells were obtained from CMV-seropositive blood donors.

Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for residues 549 to 635 of gp58 of human Cytomegalovirus.
Application Notes (Clone): The original antibody was used for an ELISA on recombinant CMV antigen (Ohlin et al., 1993; PMID:7678304),on its antigen (Schoppel et al., 1996; PMID:8614980), and on the CMV antigen using the scFv version of this antibody (Steinhauer et al., 2002; PMID:12514928). This antibody was used for a western blot on native CMV membrane antigens (Ohlin et al., 1993; PMID:7678304), and on the CMV antigen using the scFv version of this antibody (Steinhauer et al., 2002; PMID:12514928).
