Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated from the peripheral B lymphocytes from a multiparous female (SN) who had developed anti-HLA-A2 and anti-HLA-B17 Abs following two pregnancies mismatched for these HLA class I allospecificities.

Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human IgM format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.

Specificity Statement: The antibody specifically binds a determinant shared by human HLA-A2 and A28, but does not cross react with Aw68, or Aw69 antigens.

Application Notes (Clone): This antibody was used in the flow cytometric analysis of HLA class I antigen expression levels on Lymphoblastoid cell lines and class I deficient mutant cells (PMID: 9820600).
