Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was isolated from fully synthetic human combinatorial antibody library (HuCAL) by screening against a cell-bound human lymphocyte antigen HLA-Cw6. Cw6 stable cell line was generated by transfecting human lymphoblastoid LCL 721.221 HLA class I null cell line.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This full-length reformatted human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human scFv format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.

Specificity Statement: This antibody binds human HLA-Cw6. This antigen-presenting major histocompatibility complex class I (MHCI) molecule has an important role in reproduction and antiviral immunity.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding specificity of the scFv antibody towards human HLA-Cw6, expressed on the cell surface was done using flow cytometry. This antibody was also used for the immunoprecipitation of Cw*0602-transfected LCL721.221 cells (WO2001014558).
