Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for an epitope with amino acids 266–297 and 339–365 being essential residues.
Application Notes (Clone): The fab version of this antibody was used a neutralization assay, in short both a pre- and post-virus attachment assay was performed on 293TT cells with pseudo virus. The structure of this antibody was determined using cryo-EM (Guan et al., 2015; PMID:25996608). This antibody was used for an ELISA on HPV VLPs (Zhao et al., 2012; PMID:22356831, Rizk et al., 2008; PMID:18089735), and on L1-only VLPs or L1/L2 pseudo virions (Culp et al., 2007; PMID:17222883). This antibody was used for a neutralization assay on 293TT cells that were then infected with the antibody VLP mixture (Rizk et al., 2008; PMID:18089735), a similar experiment was performed on A431 cells (Culp et al., 2007; PMID:17222883).
