Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric rat antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2a format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.

Specificity Statement: This antibody recognizes a polymorphic determinant (c haplotype) of rat Class I MHC Antigen (RT-1A).

Application Notes (Clone): This antibody binds to rat MHC Class I, and has been used to show that, in an in vivo rat model, antibodies against MHC class I antigens from stored blood may precipitate transfusion-related acute lung injury (Kelher, 2009).
