CloneID: MOR131 (MOR131.5.13)
Heavy Chain modification: Fc Silent™
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing female BALB/c mice with morphine-BSA conjugate.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This is a reformatted human IgG1 Fc Silent™ antibody, based on the original human IgG1 format, created for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds morphine and cross reacts with other opioids like codeine, ethylmorphine, dihydromorphine, dihydrocodeine, dihydromorphinone, dihydrocodeinone and norcodeine. Morphine is a strong opiate that is found naturally in opium, a dark brown resin in poppies (Papaver somniferum). It is considered the classic opioid analgesic, most commonly used in pain management, morphine provides major relief to patients afflicted with pain. It is a non-synthetic narcotic with a high potential for abuse.
Application Notes (Clone): The initial binding reactivity and cross reactivity of this antibody to morphine and other opiods was determined using ELISA and radioimmunoassay (PMID: 3211162; 8417377).
