Specificity Statement: This antibody specifically recognizes the membrane bound human and cynomolgus monkey mucin-17, which is a membrane-bound mucin that provides protection to gut epithelial cells from carcinogenic effects of chronic inflammation. It is also indicated that mucin-17 is highly expressed in gastric cancer specimens and is a compelling target for prognosis of gastric cancer.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody can be used for the detection of surface bound human MUC17 using flow cytometry. This antibody is recommended for staining formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human and cynomolgus monkey tissues using immunohistochemistry (WO2021188851).
