Specificity Statement: This antibody recognizes and binds chicken Newcastle disease virus (NDV) strain F48E9. NDV is an avian disease causing a deadly infection in many domestic and wild bird species; it is transmissible to humans. In humans, NDV causes mild flu-like symptoms or conjunctivitis and/or laryngitis.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding characterization of this antibody to chicken Newcastle disease virus strain F48E9 was done using indirect ELISA. This antibody was capable of neutralizing Newcastle disease virus F48E9 which infected BHK21 cells (PMID: 25183016).
