Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with PRL.

Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.

Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.

Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7

Uniprot Accession No.: P01236

Specificity Statement: The antibody is specific for PRL. Prolactin is a protein hormone secreted by eosinophils in the anterior pituitary and placenta, and is also an anterior pituitary peptide hormone necessary for successful reproduction. PRL is a polypeptide hormone encoded by a single gene. Its chemical structure is very similar to that of growth hormone, and both belong to the family of hematopoietic factors.

Application Notes (Clone): The antibody specifically detected PRL by Western blot analysis. The antibody 2C10D5H11 and a commercial rabbit polyclonal antibody were used to stain pituitary tumor. Results showed the antibody specificity is comparable to the commercial antibody. Further, the sensitivity of the antibody 2C10D5H11 was higher than the commercial antibody. The antibody and a commercially available rabbit polyclonal antibody were simultaneously detected on the normal tissue chip, indicating that the specificity of the antibody in normal tissue was equivalent to that of the commercially available antibody (CN113956356A).
