Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for a conformational epitope on A33 of the vaccinia virus.

Application Notes (Clone): The original version of this antibody was able to prevent vaccinia virus challange in vivo when tested in mice. Furthermore the ability of this antibody to neutralize the vaccinia virus. Finally the epitope of this antibody was determined using an ELISA (Matho et al., 2015; PMID:26325270). The original antibody was used for a binding competition assay on biotin-labeled DAM. Further surface plasmon resonance was performed on DAM using this antibody (Wang et al., 2024; PMID:38182667).
