CloneID: OX-17
Antigen Long Description: OX-17 was generated using BALB/c mice raised against rat spleen glycoproteins depleted of the Ia-A antigen using an OX-6 immunoaffinity column.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Uniprot Accession No.: O98172
Specificity Statement: The OX-17 antigenic determinant is isotypic and on the alpha chain. OX-17 labels B but not T cells from lymph node or thoracic duct lymph but very weakly labels thymocytes and does not label erythrocytes. OX-17 does not cross-react with Rat Ia-A or Mouse Ia-E antigen. The target antigen is expressed on antigen presenting cells, including B cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. RT1-D is a rat MHC class II protein. RT1-D is equivalent to mouse I-E antigen.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody binds to rat MHC Class I, and has been used to show that, in an in vivo rat model, antibodies against MHC class I antigens from stored blood may precipitate transfusion-related acute lung injury (Kelher, 2009).
