CloneID: AbAbSA01
Antigen Long Description: The antibody was generated by isolating the antibody from a scFV library created from PBMCs from volunteers infected with S. aureus. The antibody was isolated by using S. aureus as antigen
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This full-length, chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human scFv format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for the cells of S.aureus. S.aureus is a bacteria that causes a wide range of infections in humans.
Application Notes (Clone): The specificity of the human IgG1 version of this antibody was determined using both ELISA and a dot blot on S. aureus, S. albus, S. citreus, Salmonella typhi, Bacillus anthracis, Shigella Castellani, Proteusbacillus vulgaris, Monilia albican, α-hemolytic streptococcus and β-hemolytic streptococcus, all clones showed a higher affinity for S.aueus than for other tested bacteria. Furthermore, the binding affinity of the antibody was tested using surface plasmon resonance (Nian et al, 2016; pmid:27129873).
