CloneID: DSTL094
Antigen Long Description: Mice were immunized with gamma irradiated inactivated sucrose gradient purified whole Zaire ebolavirus. A phage display library was constructed and panned against inactivated Zaire ebolavirus.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This full-length, chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse scFv format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Uniprot Accession No.: Q05128
Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for viral matrix protein VP40 of the zaire ebola virus. Members of the genus Ebolavirus cause fulminating outbreaks of disease in human and non-human primate populations with a mortality rate up to 90%.
Application Notes (Clone): A sandwich ELISA was performed on inactivated zaire ebola virus, the scFv version of this antibody was used as the capture antigen, it showed strong binding. Furthermore an ELISA was performed to test the thermal stability of this antibody, the antibody showed no reaction after it was exposed to a temperature to higher than 50 degrees Celsius, it retains 95% activity after 3hours at 40 degrees Celsius (Goodchild et al, 2011; pmid:21752470).
