Application: Useful for studying the expression of human GITR on the cell surface by flow cytometry.
Assay Conditions: One million GITR-HEK293 cells (#79092) were blocked and stained with 1 µg of Anti-GITR Antibody, PE-Labeled (#102780) for 30 minutes on ice, washed three times, and analyzed by flow cytometry. GITR-HEK293 cells (green) were compared to parental HEK293 cells (blue). Y-axis is the cell count. X-axis is PE intensity.
Background: GITR (Glucocorticoid-Induced TNFR-Related protein), also known as TNFRSF18 or CD357, is a co-stimulatory receptor belonging to the TNF (tumor necrosis factor) receptor superfamily. It is constitutively expressed on regulatory T cells (Tregs) and is upregulated on activated CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, NK cells, and myeloid cells. GITR interacts with its ligand, GITRL, to modulate immune responses by enhancing effector T cell activation and proliferation while reducing Treg-mediated suppression. Due to its dual role in promoting immune activation and attenuating immune regulation, GITR is a promising target for cancer immunotherapy and autoimmune disease research.
Cross Reactivity: This antibody recognizes human GITR. It has not been tested in other species.
Description: This anti-GITR (Glucocorticoid-Induced TNFR-Related protein) antibody is a purified monospecific recombinant antibody, which is labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE). This antibody has been tested by flow cytometry for binding to human GITR on the surface of GITR-HEK293 Recombinant Cell Line (BPS Bioscience #79092). FluoSite™ is a tag-based method for site-specific conjugation of antibodies with fluorophores, ensuring the labeling site is far from the antigen-binding domain to preserve antibody functionality. This precise, consistent labeling ensures the homogeneity of the labeled antibody preparation, making it ideal for flow cytometry and other high-sensitivity applications.
