Application: Useful for ELISA, FACS, and functional assays.

Background: BAFF Receptor (B-cell activating factor receptor, BAFF-R) is an essential factor for B cell maturation and survival. In humans it is encoded by the TNFRSF13C gene. BAFF-R function is impressively documented in humans by a homozygous deletion, which leads to an almost complete block of B cell development at the stage of immature/transitional B cells. The resulting immunodeficiency is characterized by B-lymphopenia, agammaglobulinemia, and impaired humoral immune responses.

Biological Activity: Immobilized human BAFFR protein can bind Ianalumab. The EC50 for this effect is 10.75 ng/ml.

CAS Number: 1929549-92-7

Description: Ianalumab, also known as VAY-736, is a human, decarboxylated antibody against BAFF-R. Ianalumab can block the interaction between BAFF and BAFF-R and antagonize the apoptosis protection mediated by BAFF. Ianalumab exerts antibody-dependent cytotoxic (ADCC), depending on effector cell activation mediated by immune receptor tyrosine activation motif (ITAM)1.

Format: Aqueous buffer solution.

Host Cell Line: CHO stable cell line

Purity: ≥90%

Reconstitution: The product can be reconstituted/diluted with sterile PBS or saline.

Storage Stability: Store at -80°C for 2 years. Aliquots should be stored at the same temperature after first use to avoid multiple freeze-thaws.

Target: BAFF, BAFF-R

Uniprot: Q96RJ3

Warnings: Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.

Biosafety Level: Not applicable (BSL-1)
