Description: This liquid Assay Medium is optimized for use in cellular assays in select BPS Bioscience cell lines.
Formulation: Assay Medium 5A (BPS Bioscience #79620): Opti-MEM Reduced Serum medium (Thermo Fisher, #31985070), 0.5% calf serum (Cytiva, #SH30072.04), 1% non-essential amino acids (Corning, #25-025-CI), 1 mM Na pyruvate (Corning, #25-000-CI), 10 mM HEPES (Cytiva SH30237.01), 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin (Thermo Fisher, #15140163).
Mycoplasma Testing: Sterile filtered (0.2 µm) and Mycoplasma-free. Each lot is tested for growth of recombinant cells. All components are low endotoxin. FBS is ISIA-certified and sourced from the United States of America.
Storage Stability: Upon receipt, the medium should be stored in the dark at 4°C. Do not exceed 37°C. When stored in the dark at 4°C, the product is stable for six months after first thaw.
Warnings: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
