Background: NEU2, also known as neuroaminidase 2 or sialidase-2, is a glycohydrolytic enzyme involved in the removal of sialic acid from either proteins or lipids. This enzyme is present at low levels in most tissues but plays a crucial role in carcinogenesis. Cytosolic NEU2 regulates the PI3K-Akt/mTOR pathway and is thus involved in apoptosis, drug resistance, and cancer cell migration.
Description: Recombinant NEU2 (Neuroaminidase 2 or sialidase-2), full length, encompassing amino acids 2-380(end). This construct contains an N-terminal His-Tag (6xHis). This recombinant protein was affinity purified.
