Notes: Taccalonolide A is a taccalonolide that has been found in T. chantrieri and has anticancer activity.{68816} It induces microtubule bundling, formation of abnormal mitotic spindles, and cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase in HeLa cervical cancer cells when used at a concentration of 3.5 µM. Taccalonolide A decreases the proliferation of HeLa cells (IC50 = 594 nM). In vivo, taccalonolide A increases the number of tumor free mice but reduces body weight in a 16/C murine breast cancer model.
