Target: IL-6 receptor
Specificity: Detects human IL-6 receptor. This non-therapeutic antibody uses the same sequence as the therapeutic antibody Tocilizumab.
Purification method: This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.
Background: Tocilizumab is a recombinant humanized anti-human interleukin 6 (IL-6) receptor monoclonal antibody of the immunoglobulin IgG1κ (gamma 1, kappa) subclass with a typical H2L2 polypeptide structure. Each light chain and heavy chain consists of 214 and 448 amino acids, respectively. The four polypeptide chains are linked intra- and inter-molecularly by disulfide bonds. Tocilizumab has a molecular weight of approximately 148 kDa. The antibody is produced in mammalian (Chinese hamster ovary) cells.
Concentration: 1.0 - 5.0 mg/ml
Formulation: Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.2,with no carrier protein, potassium or preservatives added. BSA and Azide free.
Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Endotoxin: ≤ 1.0 EU/mg as determined by the LAL method
