Background: Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is a glycoprotein hormone produced by thyrotropin cells in the anterior pituitary gland, which regulates the endocrine function of the thyroid gland. Thyrotropin cells make up approximately 5% of normal pituitary cells. This antibody is mainly used for functional classification of pituitary tumors.
