Leukocytes are enriched from peripheral whole blood byfirst removing red blood cells by gravity sedimentation. Eosinophils are isolated by removing the mononuclear cells fraction by density gradient separation followed by negative selection of the granulocyte fraction using an indirect immunomagnetic labeling system.
