Poietics Diseased Human Preadipocytes (D-HprAD) are isolated from subcutaneous or visceral fat from diabetic Type I and diabetic Type II donors. Preadipocytes from normal (non-diabetic) donors are available as a separate product. Pertinent additional donor information, including Body Mass Index (BMI), insulin dependence, and age of diagnosis may be available by contacting Scientific Support. Cryopreserved Poietics Diseased Human Preadipocytes (D-HprAD) are guaranteed to contain ≥1 million cells per ampoule and test positive for adipogenic differentiation. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots.
