Chimeric Use Statement: This is a reformatted human IgG1 Fc Silent™ antibody, based on the original human IgG1 format, created for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds CA242, which is a carbohydrate tumor marker, closely related, but not identical, to CA 19-9 and CA 50. It is commonly tested along with CEA, CA19-9 for detecting pancreatic cancer. This protein is overexpressed in malignant tumors and has been clinically used as a diagnostic biomarker for pancreatic, colorectal and other cancers.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody is recommended for use in immunohistochemical staining of tissue samples of colorectal and pancreatic cancers (US5552293A).
