A widespread problem in working with cell cultures is contamination with mycoplasma. Rapid and reliable detection is therefore essential because contamination may invalidate experimental results.

Our supplier Lonza offers two very fast and effective tests, the MycoAlert and the MycoAlert Plus, based on a luminescence determination that provides you with a result of possible contamination within 20 minutes.

MycoZap reagents can be added to a contaminated cell line to eliminate mycoplasma in less than 4 days. These reagents have been optimized by the combination of antibiotics and metabolic inhibitory substances to avoid toxic effects on the infected cell line.

With the Lucetta2, a luminometer from Lonza, you can easily use the MycoAlert tests on precast programs.
