CloneID: Nb16-17
Heavy Chain modification: His-tagged
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing an alpaca with a CD9-LaFc recombinant fusion protein containing human CD9 (Ser112-lle195) and alpaca LaFc sequence. The peripheral blood lyphocytes from the alpaca were used to generate a phage display library and the actual clone was isolated by panning the library against human CD9-his protein.
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Uniprot Accession No.: P21926
Specificity Statement: This antibody specifically binds an epitope between amino acids 112-195 of human CD9. This protein is an integral membrane protein associated with integrins, which regulates different processes, such as sperm-egg fusion, platelet activation and aggregation, and cell adhesion. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) such as exosomes are important mediators in intercellular communications and play a role in cancer progression and metastasis. Exosomal membranes are enriched in endosome-specific tetraspanins like CD9. EVs have strong potential as blood-based or urine-based biomarkers for the diagnosis, prognostication, and surveillance of cancer.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding specificity of this antibody for recombinant his tagged CD9 protein was determined using ELISA (CN117659191).
