CloneID: A9 (LCTA9)
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was isolated from a non-immune semisynthetic llama library constructed from blood samples (6 ml) collected from the left jugular vein of three research naïve mature llamas.
Origin Pub PMID: 17165813
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original VHH format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Uniprot Accession No.: P01556
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds the B subunit of the cholera toxin.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding specificity of this antibody towards cholera toxin was checked using ELISA (PMID:17165813). SPR was used to determine the dissociation constant (Kd) of VHH A9; the Kd was determined to be 77 ± 5 nM (PMID: 23385744). It was reported that two point mutations (N27D and R71I) help stabilize A9 wild-type form which has a relatively low melting point (PMID: 31342597).
