Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for human claudin-18.2 with no cross reactivity with claudin 18.1. Alterations in claudin expression can impair tight junction function, influence signaling pathways, and act as a tumor-promoting event in some epithelial cancers. Claudin 18.2 is overexpressed in various tumor type and is found to be a potentially important target in advanced gastric cancer.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding specificity of this antibody to human Claudin 18.2 expressed on the surface of HEK293 cells and Kato III cells was done using flow cytometry. The in-vivo anti-tumor activity of this antibody was evaluated in a syngeneic Mc38-huCLDN18.2 xenograft model in mice, which is a murine claudin18.2-/-mouse colon cancer cell line that has been engineered to expresses human claudin 18.2 (WO2021047599).
