Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus) with inactivated influenza H5N1 virus, followed by antibody library construction and phage display-based selection.

Buffer Composition: PBS only.

Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original VHH format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.

Specificity Statement: This antibody specifically binds the H5N1 virus. It does not bind to the other subtypes of influenza A viruses.

Application Notes (Clone): The specificity of this antibody (VHH) was confirmed in ELISA analysis. The antibody was used as a detecting antibody in sandwich ELISA, where it was used in a matched pair in conjunction with Nb7; the detection limit of this method for H5N1 virus was 14.1 ng/mL. Sandwich ELISA was employed for H5N1 detection in serum samples (Zhu et al, 2014; pmid:25526777).
