Specificity Statement: This antibody binds fragment D chains of fibrinogen (Fragment D), also called D-dimer. D-dimer is a protein fragment (small piece) that's made when a blood clot dissolves in your body. At D-dimer test is done to determine if a person has any blood clotting disorder.

Application Notes (Clone): The initial binding characterization of this antibody to human D-dimer fragment was done using ELISA. This antibody was also used in the generation of a kit for detection of blood coagulation (CN113717285).
