CloneID: 19-11
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with digoxin conjugated to human serum albumin.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for digoxigenin A. Digoxigenin (DIG) is a hydroxy steroid that consists of 5beta-cardanolide, found exclusively in the flowers and leaves of the plants Digitalis purpurea, Digitalis orientalis and Digitalis lanata. It is a hapten, a small molecule with high antigenicity, that is used in many molecular biology applications.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody can be used for the detection of digoxigenin via ELISA. This antibody was also used for the generation of bispecific antibodies that bind cell-surface targets as well as digoxigenin (Dig) for targeted payload delivery (PMID: 21536919).
