Antigen Long Description: A single chain fragment variable (scFv) phage display library was constructed from a simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV)-infected rhesus macaque. The original antibody was isolated by panning onto oligomeric (gp140) and monomeric (gp120) forms of SIV Env glycoprotein.

Chimeric Use Statement: This full-length chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original scFv format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.

Application Notes (Clone): The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The scFv format was able to neutralize SIVmac316. The original antibody was converted in the scFv-Fc format and its specificity validated by WB (Ita et al., 2017; PMID: 28075174).
