CloneID: AbAb01LOX1
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was isolated from a human scFv phage display library by panning against human Lox-1.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This full-length chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human scFv format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Uniprot Accession No.: P78380
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL), which is a receptor that mediates the recognition, internalization and degradation of oxidatively modified low density lipoprotein (oxLDL) by vascular endothelial cells. OxLDL is a marker of atherosclerosis that induces vascular endothelial cell activation and dysfunction, resulting in pro-inflammatory responses, pro-oxidative conditions and apoptosis. Its association with oxLDL induces the activation of NF-kappa-B through an increased production of intracellular reactive oxygen and a variety of pro-atherogenic cellular responses including a reduction of nitric oxide (NO) release, monocyte adhesion and apoptosis.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody can be used for the detection of Lox-1, which is a marker for early diagnosis of atherosclerosis. The binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA. The binding affinity of this antibody for human Lox-1 was determined using Bio-layer Interferometry (BLI) and it was reported that the binding affinity of this scFv antibody was Kd= 6.69 nM (CN107216390).
