Specificity Statement: This antibody reacts with α-helical molecules. Specifically, it binds streptococcal M-protein (type 5), human myosin, keratin, tropomyosin, ganglioside, and glycophorin M,N.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody reacts with the human retina, as shown in an indirect immunofluorescence assay. This antibody reacts with retinal S-antigen (S-Ag), as shown in an ELISA (Lerner et al., 1995; PMID: 8722579). This antibody binds myosin at a high relative avidity, as determined in a competitive ELISA. Reactivity with glycophorin M and N was determined by hemagglutination assay (Mertens et al., 2000; PMID: 11282394).
