CloneID: AbAb-MMAE01
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with MMAE small molecule antigen in equal volume of complete Freund's adjuvant.
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Chimeric Use Statement: This is a chimeric human IgG1 antibody made using the variable domain sequences of the original mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays, and techniques.
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds auristatin (MMAE, MMAF) which is a cytotoxic drug (payload) employed in the ADC field. Monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE, vedotin) is a very potent antimitotic agent that inhibits cell division by blocking the polymerization of tubulin. The family of auristatins are synthetic analogues of the antineoplastic natural product Dolastatin 10, ultrapotent cytotoxic microtubule inhibitors that are clinically used as payloads in antibody-drug conjugates. As an antibody-drug conjugate or ADC, MMAE is linked to a monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes a specific marker expression in cancer cells and directs MMAE to a specific, targeted cancer cell.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody shows the good binding activity with TROP2-ADC in a sandwich ELISA, therefore it can be used as a detection reagent for MMAE-conjugated antibody drugs (CN112457406).
