CloneID: 9B1
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing mouse with 3-carboxymethyl-morphine conjugated to bovine serum albumin.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds morphine and cross reacts with multiple addictive opioids including 6-MAM, morphine, heroin, and hydrocodone, shows weak binding for meperidine, oxycodone and fentanyl without significant binding to currently available OUD treatment agents naloxone, naltrexone, and buprenorphine. Morphine is a strong opiate that is found naturally in opium, a dark brown resin in poppies (Papaver somniferum). It is considered the classic opioid analgesic, most commonly used in pain management, morphine provides major relief to patients afflicted with pain. It is a non-synthetic narcotic with a high potential for abuse.
Application Notes (Clone): The original IgG antibody binds morphine with a binding affinity of KD= 33.7nM, and also binds 6-MAM (Kd = 4.8 nM), heroin (Kd = 1.3 nM) and hydrocodone (Kd= 8.2 nM) (PMID: 33356138). The binding ability of this antibody to a variety of drugs was determined using ELISA (PMID: 33356138).
