Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for the pep27 protein of Streptococcus pneumoniae. Specifically the epitope Y24, R26 and K2. Pep27 is a secreted peptide which is the signal sensed by VncR/S.
Application Notes (Clone): An western blot was performed on proteins from S.aureus using the scFv version of this antibody, it showed that the antibody was specific for the pep27 protein. Furthermore an ELISA was performed on His6-MBP-Pep27, it showed specificity of this antibody to pep27 (Kim et al, 2018; pmid: 29753735).
